Copperworks Distilling Co. has just released three permanent and always-available new American Single Malt Whiskeys to its lineup, in addition to its latest Plum Gin release from the 2023 Plum Harvest.

The newly released American Single Malt whiskeys are:
Maltsmith | Crafted from a brewer-style recipe combining pale malt and caramelized malts, the Maltsmith is Copperworks’ flagship American Single Malt Whiskey.
Farmsmith | Celebrating the barley fields of Washington by showcasing the impact of single variety, single farm, and single growing year barley in this ever-changing whiskey.
Peatsmith | Exploring the unique flavors that local smoke contributes to Copperworks’ whiskey, Peatsmith is crafted from barley malted with smoke from peat harvested from Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, offering a smoky profile distinct from traditional peated whiskeys.

Westland Distillery has released its 8th Edition of Garryana American Single Malt Whiskey, which stands as another step forward in its exploration of Garryana oak. This release combines the sturdy and savory spice qualities of Garry Oak with the rich and dark fruit tones from Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and Washington State red wine casks. Garryana 8 showcases the potent spice notes of Garryana oak while working with wine cask finishes to create a floral and rounded sip.

Astraea Gin, renowned for its bold and innovative
approach to gin-making, is proud to announce the release of Astraeus, a truly one-of-a-kind
Single Malt Gin distilled from 100% malted barley. As the latest addition to Astraea’s
award-winning portfolio, Astraeus, dubbed “Desert,” joins the ranks of Ocean, Mist, Meadow,
and Forest, yet offers something entirely different: a rich union of two ancient spirits—whiskey
and gin.
Created in small batches by two master distillers, Astraea’s Danielle Leavell and Matt Greif,
Head Distiller at the Distillery of Modern Art in Atlanta, Astraeus brings the depth and complexity
of whiskey into the world of gin, making it an exceptional and rare offering in the U.S. market.
While other malted barley gins are typically distilled to neutrality (190 proof), stripping away
much of their whiskey essence, Astraea purposefully rectifies Astraeus to 160 proof, allowing
the whiskey’s character to shine alongside the bold botanicals of gin.

James Bay Distillers is releasing a new bourbon:
This is our revival of an historic 1902 Everett brand,
“Everett Liquor Co.” formerly on Hewitt Avenue across from the current
Angel of the Winds Arena! Known as “your family liquor store,” the
company closed in 1916 when Washington State went dry! More history
on the back label!
